WHO WE ARE

offering a hand - taking initiative

Hermanus is a popular holiday resort in the South African province of Western Cape and about a two hours drive from Cape TownBeautiful holiday houses on one side, run down shacks on the other. Nowhere else is social inequality more visible than here. Children who grow up in a township have barely any perspective of a well-paid job to break out of poverty. We want to change this and have therefore built a childcare centre and a Computer Lab for children in the township Zwelihle of Hermanus.

We are a young family that gives its best for the children and their families every day. Mathews founded the Osanalerona Foundation in 2018 and lives in the township Zwelihle together with his wife Dipuo and his two sons Oboetse and Osanalerona (same name as the organisation as he was born in 2018 :-))

Tabea lives in Switzerland and met Mathews while volunteering at a primary school in Cape Town in 2018. When she heard about this project, she knew immediately that she wanted to push this project forward. Therefore, she founded a non-profit association (Verein) in 2020 to support Mathews and his family from Switzerland.
